Caregiver Screening & Standards

Trust begins with selection.

Before a caregiver represents Coastal Care Partners in a client's home, they must meet strict professional and character standards. We verify experience, credentials, references, and background history — and evaluate judgment, communication, and alignment with our values.

Professional Experience & Credentials

We require documented experience in caregiving, nursing support, or related roles. Credentials are verified, and we look for a track record that demonstrates reliability and competence in client care.

Background & Reference Verification

Criminal background checks and reference verification are completed before any caregiver is placed. We speak with former employers and professional references to confirm character and performance. We participate in Georgia and South Carolina official state background verification processes.

Communication & Character Assessment

We assess how candidates communicate, handle stress, and align with our values. In-home care demands empathy, clarity, and judgment — we evaluate these through structured interviews and scenarios.

Clinical Competency Evaluation

Caregivers are evaluated on their understanding of safety, hygiene, mobility support, and recognition of changes in condition. We ensure they can follow care plans and escalate appropriately when needed.

Ongoing Supervision & Accountability

Once on the team, caregivers receive ongoing supervision, feedback, and access to training. We maintain accountability through regular check-ins, care manager oversight, and our Coastal Care University curriculum.

Only caregivers who meet our standards — and commit to ongoing development — represent Coastal Care Partners.
